Egypt has dropped three places to 64 in FIFAs monthly global football rankings, released on 7 March.
The Pharaohs have not played an official competitive match in more than eight months since their surprising failure to qualify for the 2012 African Cup of Nations (CAN).

Egypt, which used to be the leading team in Africa, has continued to drop out from Africa’s top ten to 12th, being also the fifth ranked Arab team after losing the lead to Algeria three months ago and last months fourth place to Morocco.
