Egypt are set to play two friendlies against Lebanon and Chad by the end of March, assistant coach Diaa Al-Sayed revealed.

“A few details shall be concluded to organize a camp in Lebanon this month, where we will play against the host nation and Chad,” Al-Sayed said.
Lebanon have been regarded as the surprise package of the Asian World Cup qualifiers after reaching the final round for the first time in their history.

The Lebanese – led by former Ittihad and Ismaili coach Theo Buecker – are preparing for crucial group games against Qatar, Uzbekistan and South Korea in June.

African minnows Chad have been eliminated from the first round of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers but they are warming up for a decisive CAN 2013 qualifier against Malawi in two months’ time.
Egypt, on the other hand, have just completed a tour in Doha where they played three friendlies against Kenya U-23s, Niger and DR Congo.

The Pharaohs also have a busy schedule during the month of June, with four competitive fixtures in the World Cup and CAN qualifiers taking place.
