AHMED Elmohamady is wanted by promotion- chasing West Ham.
Sunderlands Egyptian winger admitted this week that his future may lie away from Wearside, after failing to make a single start under Martin ONeill.
And the Hammers could offer him an escape route but only if Sam Allardyces side return to the Premier League.
Elmohamady is only interested in joining another top-flight side in England and that means any move to Upton Park would depend on how West Ham fare in the play-offs if they fail to secure automatic promotion.
The 24-year-old appears to have no future at Sunderland under ONeill, after being restricted to just 32 minutes in seven sub appearances since the Irishman took over at the beginning of December.
ONeill even allowed him to link up with his national side for a training camp this month.
