The Pharaohs will begin a training camp in Morocco on 15 May ahead of a busy scheduled in June that will see the team kick off their African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2013 and World Cup 2014 qualifying campaigns.

“We will train in Morocco and we already had agreements with Togo and Cameroon to play them,” assistant coach Diaa El-Sayed told a Modern Sports TV.

“We were also in talks with Ivory Coast for a third warm-up game but they wanted to play in France so we are still looking for a replacement,” he added.

Egypt coach Bob Bradley wants to play a large number of friendlies before the qualifiers to get the players physically and technically fit as all domestic football was cancelled after the Port Said disaster on 1 February.

The American coach, who has been in charge since November 2011, is trying to reshuffle the aging squad that won a record three-straight CAN titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010 under the helm of Hassan Shehata.
