A rare goal by Ahmed Elmohamady gave Egypt the lead but Cameroon equalized from the spot on 75 minutes.
Substitute Basem Ali came on to win a dubious penalty that was slotted home by the in-form Treika, who also came off the bench earlier.
It was the first of three warm-up games for Egypt in Sudan, with Bob Bradley’s men preparing for the World Cup qualifier against Mozambique on June 1.
