Henri Michel named Kenya coach
The 64-year-old Frenchman beat over 60 top foreign coaches who had applied for the job. Some of the top coaches he was up against include compatriot Raymond Domenech (who took France to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa), Belgians Adel Amrouche and Tom Saintfeit.

As a French International, he scored 4 goals in his 58 appearances winning the French Cup in the domestic league as well as winning the league title 3 times with Nantes.
The last two foreign coaches to manage the national team were Frances Bernard Pascal Lama and Germany Antoine Hey.
