Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala has extended his score list with UAE’s club Al-Wasl after netting the opener in his sides 1-1 draw with AlDhafra on Sunday.
A 22nd minute strike by the Pharaohs star gave Al-Wasl an early lead to deliver the best farwell for the team’s French coach Bruno Metsu, who recently left his post after being diagnosed with stomach cancer.
Shikabala has been playing under Metsu’s guidance since joining Al-Wasl on a season-long loan from Egyptian giants Zamalek in the close season.
The 26-year-old attacker has produced some impressive displays since then, scoring four goals for Al-Wasl that lies now third at the league table with nine points after five matches.
