Ekramy & Ashour could miss Monterrey’s game
Ahlys doctor Ihab Ali revealed on Thursday that the Red Devils goalkeeper Sherif Ekramy and defense midfielder Hossam Ashour could miss the game against Monterrey in the third-place play-off of the Club World Cups on Sunday.
Ekramy sustained a hamstring strain during Ahlys 1-0 loss to Corinthians in the Club World Cup semis, and he was replaced by Mahmoud Abul-Seoud, while Ashour suffers from a pelvis injury. Ashours absence could be a problem for coach Hossam El-Badry who has already lost defensive midfielder Hossam Ghaly because of a serious knee injury.
“Ekramys chances of playing against Monterrey are 50 percent while Ashour has more chances than Ekramy as his injury is not serious,” Ahlys doctor told the clubs official website on Thursday. “The final decision will be made after Saturdays training”
