Hull City Vs Blackburn Rovers Live | NPOWER CHAMPIONSHIP

Hull City will meet Blackburn Rovers today Febuary 19th 2012 at the KC Stadium | 19:45 (local time)

Hull City:
This is the 50th league match between these clubs; Blackburn have won 27 of the previous 49, Hull nine, with 13 drawn.
Hull have failed to score in their last three matches against Rovers.

Blackburn:
Blackburn travel buoyed by Saturday’s sensational FA Cup victory over Arsenal; their fourth win in five games.

Steve Bruce hopes Gedo’s first two performances at the KC Stadium are a sign of things to come as the season heads towards the business end.

The Egyptian international striker has scored in both of his appearances at the KC so far, including the match-winner against Charlton Athletic at the weekend, and Bruce is looking forward to seeing how his recent loan signing develops in a Hull City shirt.

“Hopefully he can stay with it for the next 14 games. We’re delighted he’s here and he looks as though he is enjoying it, so let’s hope he can keep going.

“He played longer than we maybe anticipated on Saturday, but then all of a sudden a ball was knocked towards the corner flag in the 80th minute and he took off after it!

“Both Gedo and Ahmed Fathi have come here wanting to play football and that is great.”

Ahmed Fathi could make his full Hull City debut in place of injured defender Paul McShane against Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday.

Hull said on their website that McShane is set to miss out on the home game, adding that ‘Fathi will be one of those now hoping for a start against Rovers’.

Even though the Egypt defender is not currently a regular for the Tigers, coach Steve Bruce said last week that ‘Fathi will be a big player for the club’.
