Gedo is undergoing a foot surgery in England
Ahly forward Mohamed Nagy ‘Gedo’ is undergoing a foot surgery Monday in a hospital in England.
The 28-year-old striker who injured his foot due to fatigue is currently on loan at English Premier League newly-promoted side Hull City and his spell is supposed to end in late May.
Gedo, who made an instant impact after joining Hull on a six-month loan deal in January, scoring five Championship (second division) goals in 12 appearances to play a key role in helping the Tigers seal Premier League promotion, will be sidelined for up to four months.
Best known for scoring five goals to help Egypt win the 2010 African Cup of Nations, he will miss the Pharaohs’ World Cup qualifying games against Zimbabwe and Mozambique next month.
