GEDO returns to Hull City on a season-long loan

Hull City have brought Egypt striker Gedo back to the club on a season-long loan from Al Ahly, subject to international clearance.

The move sees the 28-year-old return to the KC Stadium for a second stint after impressing with five goals in 12 games on loan last season.

Gedo’s goals were crucial in helping the Tigers secure promotion to the Barclays Premier League, and manager Steve Bruce will welcome the return of a player who will provide competition to the likes of Yannick Sagbo, Danny Graham and Sone Aluko.

The move, which still awaits formal clearance, will go some way to helping Bruce overcome the disappointment of missing out on West Brom striker Shane Long.

The Republic of Ireland international will stay at the Hawthorns after the Baggies blocked his projected £5million move to East Yorkshire.
