Who is Egypt’s National Football Team Next Coach?
The Pharaohs missed out on a World Cup spot once again after failing to overturn a 6-1 first-leg trailing in Kumasi, having just managed a 2-1 win over Ghana in Cairo’s return leg.
The EFA (Egyptian football association) is now responsible for choosing and hiring a new manager, the Sports Minister said on the FAs official website.

1- Hassan Shehata
In 2004, Shehata became Egyptian national team coach after the sacking of Italian coach Marco Tardelli. In the 2006 African Cup of Nations, which was hosted by Egypt, he lead the team to its first Cup of Nations in 8 years, defeating Ivory Coast in the final.
Under Shehata’s management, Egypt won the ACN 3 times in a row 2006, 2008 & 2010.

2- Hossam Hassan
A prolific goalscorer, he is Egypt’s all-time to scorer with 68 goals in 176 appearances.
Hassan retired as a striker in 2007, owning the Egypt record for caps and goals after 21 years in the national team. He helped the Pharoahs win three African Cups and was also part of the side that reached its second World Cup in 1990.
Since retiring, he has coached El Masry SC (Egypt), Zamalek SC (Egypt), Misr Elmaqasah (Egypt) and currently coaching the Jordanian NT.
3- Manuel José
In 1999 Jose signed with Egyptian giants Al Ahly, he marked his first victory with Al-Ahly in a friendly against Spanish Giants Real Madrid (Ahly 1-0 Real Madrid).
He accomplished the biggest win against the rivals Zamalek by 61 before he was sacked after failing to win the league that year, but won his first African Champions League and African Super Cup. He returned to Portugal to coach Belenenses in 2002, but left to sign again with Al Ahly the following year.
Since returning to Al-Ahly, he has helped give the team a record-breaking unbeaten run of 55 matches.He also managed to qualify for the African Champions League Final four consecutive times, in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, winning all but the 2007 final, the first coach to achieve such a feat and bringing his tally to four CAF Champions League titles, making him the most successful manager of the competition.
In addition to this, Manuel José also won the CAF Super Cup in 2006, 2007 and 2009, the Egyptian League five consecutive times, 200405, 200506, 200607, 200708 and 200809, the Egypt Cup in 200506 and 200607 and the Egyptian Super Cup four consecutive times, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
4- Hossam El Badry
El-Badry began his managing career as an assistant manager to Ahly’s coach Manuel José after the death of Thabet El-Batal in 2005, In 2009 after Manuel José departure, Al-Ahly named the Portuguese manger Nelo Vingada, just after 5 days of signing with Al-Ahly he resigned from his position due to family problems, After that Al-Ahly Named El-Badry as the Club new manager for a one season-deal. El-Badry Became the first Egyptian Manager for Al-Ahly since 1993. For the 2010-11 season, the club administration renewed their faith in El-Badry after he won the 2009-10 Egyptian Premier League and the 2010 Egypt Super Cup, however he resigned on 21 November 2010 after a series of disappointing results. In December 2010. he was announced as the manager of Sudanese club Al-Merreikh SC and Won the sudaneess league that year with Al-Merreikh.
As a Manager with Al-Ahly he won; 1 Egyptian Premier League, 1 Egypt Super Cup, 1 CAF Champions League
As a Manager with El-Merrikh he won; 1 Sudan Premier League
He is currently the manager of Libyan Premier League side Al-Ahly Tripoli.
5- Shawky Gharib
Shawky Gharib managed the Egyptian Youth National Team in the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina & won the bronze medal (3rd Place).
