Ahly’s Rami Rabia linked with Hull City switch
The Tigers are being linked with a loan move for Al Ahly defender Rami Rabia, who recently played at the Under-20 World Cup and won the African Cup of Nations with Egypt.
However, the sticking point to signing the 20-year-old appears to be the fact he has not played 75 per cent of the Egyptian national teams games, meaning he would not qualify for a work permit.
According to the players agent Mamdouh Eid, who also engineered Gedos move to the Tigers, he is hoping to get around the paper work on the basis the centre-back who also plays as a defensive midfielder is an extraordinary talent.
Bruce has been interested in bringing Mahmoud Kahraba to City on trial from ENPPI in summer, but work permit issues also scuppered that deal and he later joined Swiss side FC Luzern.
