Dominique Da Silva is happy to work with MIDO
Zamalek have officially signed a one-year contract with Mauritanian striker Dominique Da Silva in a free transfer, the club announced on Monday without disclosing financial details.
The 24-year-old striker amicably terminated his contract with Zamalek’s arch-rivals Ahly earlier in January and became a free agent.
The Mauritanian forward passed a medical examination with the Whites and held a meeting with the team’s newly appointed coach Ahmed Hossam “Mido” to finalise the deal.
Da Silva agreed to wear Zamalek’s jersey without receiving a pre-contract fee due to the current financial problems of the Whites.
Da Silva, who joined Ahly in 2011, sustained several injuries that hampered his chances of playing regularly with the African champions.
