Zamalek held Zambia’s Nkana Red Devils to a goalless draw in the CAF Champions League round of 16 first leg.

On three occasions, Zamalek overcame Nkana in a two-legged knockout tie to advance to the final, winning two of them in 1984 and 2002, which marked the last time they had lifted the coveted trophy.
Zamaleks most memorable game against Nkana was in 1984 in Cairo, where the hosts displayed an attractive brand of attacking football to humiliate their opponents, formerly known as the Nkana Red Devils, 5-1 in the second leg of the quarter final.
