After gaining 12 places in last month’s ranking, Egypt have advanced another two places in the latest list issued on Thursday.
Egypt have played just one match under new coach Shawki Gharib, beating Bosnia-Herzegovina in March.
The Pharaohs made it into the world’s top 10 after winning three successive African Cup of Nations trophies, in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
