Zamalek are in talks with Brazilian striker Ronaldinho
Egyptian club Zamalek are in talks with the agent of Brazilian striker Ronaldinho, Chairman Mortada Mansour told an Egyptian TV programme Wednesday evening.
“Ronaldinho is coming to play in Egypt. I will do whatever it takes to please Zamalek fans,” Mansour told TV presenter Khaled El-Ghandour on his sports daily show.
“His deal won’t be cheap but we are willing to pay to benefits from advertisement that will be marketed by his jersey,” Mansour added.
When El-Ghandour asked the elected president of the Cairo-based club if he is certain about reaching an agreement with a former Barcelona and AC Milan forward, Mansour replied; “Yes, he is coming! Do you want me to get Obama too?”
Ronaldinho is currently starring in Brazilian side Atletico Mineiro.
Zamalek are bidding for their first trophy since 2004. They reached the mini-league phase of the Egyptian Premier League and the last eight of the Egypt Cup. They are also competing in the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
