Ittihad of Alexandria celebrated their century with a friendly game against Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon on Monday night.
The Alexandrian side conceded a 2-2 draw against Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon which include former Zamalek’s forward Mahmoud Abdel-Razek ‘Shikabala’.
Founded in 1914, Ittihad of Alexandria are one of the most popular teams in the country with six Egypt Cup titles.
The game saw the attendance of a limited number of fans (5000 supporters) for security reasons.
The celebrations started one hour before the game as the club’s board honoured some of the club icons and former stars.
