Arab Contractors in talks with Mohamed Zidan
Mohamed Zidan is wanted in Arab Contractors, coached by former Pharaohs manager Hassan Shehata.
“Shehata has met Zidan Wednesday regarding a move to the Wolves during the winter transfer window,” former Ahly and Egypt goalie Ahmed Shobier announced in his morning radio sports programme Thursday.
The 32-year-old has been out of a job since terminating his contract with United Arab Emirates side Bani Yas in early 2013, having fallen out with the club.

Zidan, who described his move to Bani Yas as the biggest mistake of his career, has been recently training with former club Borussia Dortmund in a bid to regain fitness.
He has not played for Egypt’s national team since falling out with then coach Bob Bradley after skipping an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Central Africa in 2012.
However, Zidan — who was instrumental in helping Egypt under Shehata win two successive African Nations Cup titles in 2008 and 2010 — is understood to be eyeing a return to his national league.
Zidan spent nearly a decade in the Bundesliga with the likes of Dortmund, Werder Bremen and Mainz.
Shehata previously coached Arab Contractors in 2003, a turning point in his coaching career, guiding them to win both the Egypt Cup and Super Cup in the 2003/04 season when they were still a second division side.
The 65-year-old tactician joined the Egyptian club last month after he broke his contract with Moroccan side Difaa El-Jadidi.
His managerial career has been remarkable, having guided Egypt to three consecutive African Cup of Nations titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010, an unprecedented feat on the continent.
Arab Contractors are struggling to avoid relegation in the Egyptian Premier League with only 11 points from 12 matches and in 17th position of the 20-team league.
