Having three matches on hand, the Red Devils, who lie fourth in the League table with 28 points, hope to reduce the 12-point gap which separates them from leaders Zamalek.

The mission will not be easy, as they will face a resilient Petrojet who have produced some good performances during the previous games.

Coach Juan Carlos Garrido’s main headache will be how to stop Petrojet’s speedy strikers Mohamed Ragab and James Tibi.

Previous games showed that Ahly’s defence struggles against the speedy strikers.

However, the Spanish coach will regain his solid defender Saad Samir, who was included in Ahly’s 18-man list for Tuesday’s clash after making a full recovery from an ankle injury.

New signing Peter Ebimobowei, who joined the club last week, was ruled out of the squad as he still needs time before playing with the team in a competitive game.

Ahmed Abdel-Zaher also will miss the Petrojet clash as coach Garrido opted for duo Emad Metaab and Ethiopian striker Saladin Saed.

Veteran keeper Sherif Ekrami, who is playing in his first game since Ahly’s 6-1 victory over Tahta in Egypt’s Cup, is likely to remain between the sticks against Petrojet.
