According to La Gazetta Dello Sport, Bundesliga second-placed Wolfsburg are set to table a 20-million-euro bid in return of the services of Mohamed Salah, who is currently on a six-month loan in Florence from parent club Chelsea.
With the sale of Kevin De Bruyne to Bayern Munich expected to generate the needed cash to fund Salah’s deal, Wolfsburg are now set to pose a big threat to Fiorentina’s attempt to retain the Egyptian’s services for another loan spell.
It remains to be seen what the 22-year-old’s next destination will be, after taking the Serie A by storm having scored six goals in 11 appearances so far.
