Zamalek will be looking to continue their best run of results in a decade when they face Masry in the Egyptian Premier League on Monday.
The White Knights are leading the league table with 60 points, three ahead of second-placed ENPPI, who played three extra games, and eight clear of arch rivals Ahly who crushed El-Geish 4-0 on Sunday.
Zamalek are chasing their first league title since 2004 and look formidable this term, having extended their unbeaten streak to 16 matches when they beat lowly Ragaa 2-0 last Thursday.
Their latest win marked their best run since they won the last of their 11 league trophies 11 years ago.
“Masry’s clash will be tough, but we are ready for all challenges,” Zamalek’s football director Ismail Youssef told the club’s official website on Sunday.
“We are looking to win all our games regardless of our opponents to achieve our target and win the league.”
Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira picked his 19-man squad on Sunday, which included Egyptian international striker Khaled Qamar who missed the previous two games due to injury.
