Gedo extends his contract with Al Ahly until 2018

Egypt forward Mohamed “Gedo” Nagi has extended his stay at Ahly club until 2018.

“During a friendly meeting with football sector manager Alaa Abdel-Sadek, Gedo announced his engagement with the club and signed a three-year contract without any conditions,” the club said via their official website on Thursday.

“Gedo is a great player who appreciates Ahly and negotiations with him only took minutes,” Abdel-Sadek said.

The 31-year-old striker has been sidelined for a while due to a longstanding injury. He underwent knee surgery last season and this season has played three games and scored once.

Gedo’s contract with Ahly was due to expire at the end of the current season but the club announced two weeks ago the player would be staying.
