Chelsea winger Mohamed Salahs agent is set to meet with Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini over a move to the Serie A club, reports Premium Sports (via Football Italia).
The Blues attacker has controversially decided against a return to Fiorentina for the upcoming season, having scored six goals in sixteen appearances for the club while on loan there during the last campaign.
And now Salahs representatives, who have already confirmed that the Egyptian international will be staying in the Italian league, via a separate covered by Football Italia, are thought to be set to meet with Roma to thrash out a deal for their client
Inter Milan are also believed, according to Football Italia, to be interested in Salah.
Chelsea, as per the aforementioned source, are thought to be requesting a transfer fee of 25 million (£17.5m) for the winger who cost them £11m (fee via BBC Sport) when they purchased him from Basel last January.
However, Roma are hopeful of getting Salah in for lower than Chelseas asking price and may consider a loan move for the 23-year-old to initially get the player into the club.
Chelsea already have cover on the right wing with Willian and Juan Cuadrado, meaning that Salah is unlikely to find game-time at Stamford Bridge next season.
In fact, Jose Mourinho has already expressed as much during a recent interview with the Daily Mail, in which the Chelsea boss confirmed Salah is expected to leave.
