West Brom, Watford & Newcastle fight to get Elmohamady

West Brom are linked with getting Ahmed Elmohamady’s signature, with a quoted price of around £3million.

However there has been further interest shown in the reliable winger. A battle for a player who started every game last term, and every minute apart from three, has now emerged.

Newly promoted Watford are said to be interested in signing the Egyptian, along with Premier League sides Newcastle and Stoke. According to The Sentinal and The Mail Online , Benfica and Spanish side Seville are now also ‘monitoring the situation’.

Elmohamady is a fan favourite player, who plays down the left-wing at either the left of defence of midfield. He is both an attacking threat and a highly reliable in the defensive ranks.

Joining in 2013 after an initial loan spell from Steve Bruce’s former club, Sunderland, he has constantly proved himself as Hull City legend. However after a short two seasons with Hull in the Premier League, he seems reluctant to having to play championship football come the season start.

Hull having sold or released many of their regular club players will be hoping to keep hold of this reliable right-winger.

So far departures for Hull have included many fan favourites such as; McShane, Rosenior, Quinn and to be confirmed are the departures of Chester and Brady. Surely losing another fan favourite will cause issues, with Steve Bruce wanting to keep hold of Mr Reliable.
