Salah Shuts Fiorentina’s Fans with an amazing Goal

Mohamed Salah  has just scored his fifth goal in 12 games for the Italian side.

Whistled every time he touched the ball at a packed Artemio Franchi stadium, Salah reminded fans what they are missing after just seven minutes when he put the visitors ahead with a fine opener.

Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan had done well to win the ball with a sliding tackle just outside the area and set up Salah for the Egyptian to fire a superb curling strike that beat Ciprian Tatarusanu at the goalkeeper’s far post.

There were no celebrations from Salah out of respect for Fiorentina’s fans, just a brief prayer.

Gervinho netted 11 minutes from the interval, but Salah was sent off 87 minutes in for a second bookable offence.

Garcia Happy with Salah

“I am happy with the performance, as the result arrived because we were tactically intelligent, we followed the plan and immediately broke through with a great Salah goal,” Garcia told the Press.

“After that we set out as a block in midfield and on the counter-attack found the second goal.”

“Salah played his game under a lot of pressure. It wasn’t easy for him, or for Gervinho, to defend on the flanks and then go on the counter, but they did it very well.

“This is the proof that Roma work for the group with heart and quality.”
