A few hours after withdrawing from the Egyptian Premier League, the Zamalek board on Thursday afternoon changed their minds and decided to rejoin the competition.

Club president Mortada Mansour has decided to complete the Egyptian Premier League games, but he will escalate the club’s decisions against EFA and referee committee boss Gamal El-Ghandour.

“We didn’t totally reverse the withdrawal,” Mansour told the club’s website. “We have just frozen it until we meet with Sports Minister Khaled Abdel-Aziz, as we are sticking to our demand for the sacking of referee committee head Gamal El-Ghandour, who offended the whole competition after what happened during Ahly-Contractors game,” he said, speaking on Thursday afternoon after a meeting of the board.
