Stoke City signs Ramadan Sobhi for 6M | Deal will be announced after The Cairo Derby
Cairo giants Al Ahly agreed to sell rising star Ramadan Sobhi to Stoke City for 6M and 15% commission if Stoke sales Ramadan Sobhi later on.
The deal will be announced after the Cairo derby Al Ahly v Zamalek on Saturday July 9th 2016.
The teenager has risen through the ranks in the Egyptian Premier League over the past couple of seasonsand is now a regular for Al Ahly, who recently won the league, under the guide of manager Martin Jol.
Stoke City fans will be excited by the prospect of Sobhi’s capture, but the club are hardly lacking options in the attacking midfielder area, with the likes of Bojan, Marko Arnautovic, Ibrahim Afellay and Xherdan Shaqiri all vying for a starting place in Mark Hughes’ XI.
Sobhi is well known for his silky skills and his use of tricks have drawn aggressive reactions from a number of different opponents in the Middle East.
Most famously, the teenager once stood on the ball during a league clash against rivals Zamalek, which led to the player being kicked by a defender.
