SAM Morsy Joins Egypt’s National TEAM | VIDEO
Wigan’s defender Sam Morsi was also called up for the two friendly tests and is set to make his international debut at the age of 24 after completing the formalities of joining the team.
Morsy began at the Wolves academy but was picked up by Port Vale at the age of 16 and came through their youth system to play 71 times for the Valiants, before switching to Chesterfield in 2013 and being virtually ever-present since.
He made 99 league appearances for the Spireites, including twice against Latics this season.
Signed to Wigan Athletic in January 2016, Sam Morsy was one of three January additions by Gary Caldwell as he looked to strengthen his squad for their Sky Bet League One title push.
