Smouha opened their CAF Confederation Cup campaign with a comfortable 4-0 first-leg victory over Kenya’s Ulinzi Stars in the competition’s round of 32 at Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab Stadium on Friday.
Former Ahly and ENPPI striker Ahmed Raouf broke the deadlock in the 12th minute with an excellent strike from inside the area, 15 minutes before Islam Mohareb slid home past the keeper for his side’s second of the night.

The Alexandrians, managed by former Zamalek boss Moemen Soliman, continued dominating after the break in n almost one-sided affair, with Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz heading past the keeper in the 70th minute a goal that was allowed to stand by the referee minutes later.
Mohareb then completed his own double three minutes from time with a beautiful half-volley from inside the box to give Smouha a comfortable 4-0 lead going into the second leg.

Smouha fly to Kenya next week for the return leg which takes place on March 17.
