Egyptian Trezeguet coming soon to the English Premier League | VIDEO

Egypt has been providing the footballing world with some remarkable talents over the past couple of years. The likes of Mohammad Salah, Elneny and Ramadan Sobhi are all currently playing for some of the biggest clubs in world football. A new name that may soon join this list is Mahmoud Hassan, who is commonly known as “Trezeguet” after the famous French striker.

The 22-year-old was a part of the Egyptian team that finished as runner-ups in 2017’s AFCON. Currently playing for Excel Mouscron on loan from Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League.

Predominantly a left winger, Mahmoud is blessed with explosive pace and stamina which was evident from the fact that he ran more than any other Egyptian player in the AFCON.

Several reports linked him with a possible move to the Premier League as many clubs have shown interest in the Egyptian player.

Liverpool have emerged as the front-runner in acquiring his services and have talked with the player’s representatives about the same.

The Merseyside outfit prefers to bring in young talent and shape them into future superstars, and Mahmoud seems to be their next potential target.

The Reds also have a pretty good experience in case of African nationals recently, with players like Sadio Mane and Joel Matip easily adapting to the pace and physicality of English football and becoming an integral part of the starting XI.

Trezeguet helped his side ensure a place in the first division of the Belgium league next season after scoring a vital goal in the team’s 2-0 win over Kortrijk on Sunday.
