Hossam Ghaly return to trainings after recovering from a muscle injury
Ahly squad have been boosted by the return of key players, skipper Hossam Ghaly and defender Rami Rabia who recovered from injuries in time for preparations for the Egyptian Premier League games.
“Ghaly participated in Friday’s trainings after recovering from a muscle injury that sidelined him in the previous sessions,” read a statement on the club’s official website.
“The Ahly skipper underwent physical trainings before joining the regular trainings within preparations for the restart of the Premier League games.”
“Ahly defender Rami Rabia returned to training after two days of absence due to periodontal pains,” the statement read.
Meanwhile, Ahly playmaker Walid Soliman remained out of action for the third day with permission from the team’s technical staff.
Ahly are in the driving seat of the Egyptian league table with 52 points, seven ahead of second-place Maqassa and 12 over rivals Zamalek who are in third-place with a game in hand.
