Al Ahly lose 2-0 to Wydad Casablanca | Match Video Review
A dismal Ahly side slumped to a 2-0 defeat by Moroccos Wydad Casablanca away from home in the CAF Champions League group stage on early Wednesday.
Two second-half goals from striker Fabrice Ondama and substitute Walid El-Karti gave the Moroccans a vital three points against an opponent, who managed to beat them with the same scoreline in the previous Group D game.

Egypt’s Ahly coach Hossam El-Badry has blamed refereeing mistakes and the defence errors of his team as the main reasons behind Tuesday’s 2-0 loss to Moroccos Wydad Casablanca.
“Wydad’s first goal came after an obvious mistake by the referee while an error in arranging our defence line allowed for the second goal,” the coach said in the press conference after the match.

“We deployed a defencive strategy in the first half and we missed a chance to secure a draw after the break,” said El-Badry, who Guided Ahly to clinch their 39th Egyptian league title this season.
“We still have two difficult matches and anything is possible now in our group,” the coach concluded.
Egyptian league champions Ahly remain in charge of the group though, level on seven points with Zambias Zanaco – who visit rock bottom Camroons Cotonsport later in the day.
Wydad are third with their second win of their group-stage campaign.
