Ahmed Hossam “Mido” is Pablo Escobar! | VIDEO

Former Tottenham and Middlesbrough striker Mido has been compared to the late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar after revealing his bold new look.

The Egyptian debuted his striking look in a new Twitter profile picture yesterday.

Kitted out in an embroidered suede jacket, electric blue shirt and neckerchief, and sporting a rather impressive handlebar moustache, he wouldn’t look out of place in a spaghetti Western.

But fans have also been quick to point out the 34-year-old’s passing resemblance to Escobar, the late cocaine baron who provided the inspiration for Netflix’s hit series Narcos.

Following his appearance on Saturday Night Live Arabia, Mido took to Twitter to update his profile picture.

The new photo caused quite a buzz on Egyptian social media.
