Al Ahly will face Spanish side Atletico Madrid in a friendly game tonight at Borg El-Arab stadium.
This is Atletico’s second visit to Egypt after they played a friendly in 2011 against Zamalek to celebrate the 100th year anniversary.
Match for peace
All the money raised from tickets will be donated to families of the Egyptian martyrs. Al Ahly’s executive manager, Shereen Shams will address the security officials to allow as many people as possible to attend.
Al Ahly’s last match against a European club came in May 2016, when they beat Italian side AS Roma 4-3 at Hazza Ben Zayed Stadium at the UAE.
