Mohamed Salah wins UEFA’s player of the week
Liverpools Mohamed Salah was voted the UEFA Champions League Player of the Week for the third time this season after performing excellently in the great 3-0 victory over Manchester City.
Salah scored the first goal then assisted in the third goal that was scored by Sadio Mane before being subbed due to groin injury in the second half.
Its the third time in this campaign that the Egyptian winger has claimed the prize, having also done so for his performance in Liverpools 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Match-day one before thrashing Maribor 7-0 on Match-day three in the UEFA Champions Leagues group stage.
Salah topped the list with many elite players like Real Madrids Cristiano Ronaldo, Bayern Munichs James Rodriguez and Barcelonas Gerard Pique. Salah collected 57 percent of UEFAs public votes, while Ronaldo got 35 percent of the votes.
