Cairo giants Ahly were eliminated from the Egypt Cups quarter-finals on Monday after a stunning 1-0 defeat by Assyouti at El-Salam stadium in Cairo.
Substitute striker Omar Kamal Abdel-Wahed scored the winner in the 64th minute, helping his side secure a historic place in the competition’s final four.
Assyouti will face the winner of Smouha and Wadi Degla’s clash, scheduled for 8 May, in the semis.
