Tunisia coach Benzarti : SALAH IS NOT THE BEST!
Tunisia head coach Faouzi Benzarti believes that Mohamed Salah is one of the best players in the world, but not the best.
Salah is on a three-man shortlist for The Best Men’s Player 2018, alongside Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric. The Egypt international scored 44 goals for Liverpool last season as the Reds reached the UEFA Champions League final in Kiev.
But, despite Salah’s astonishing achievements in the 2018-19 campaign, Benzarti is set to cast his vote for ‘The Best’ elsewhere.
“Salah is one of the best players in the world but he’s not the best player in the world,” Benzarti told the press.
“We shouldn’t say Salah is the best player in the world, even Lionel Messi isn’t the best player in the world,” he concluded.

Benzarti took over the reins at the Carthage Eagles following the departure of Nabil Maaloul following the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Tunisia take on Swaziland in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this weekend.
The Eagles beat North African rivals Egypt 1-0 in their Group J opener last year.
