Salah nominated for ‘FIFPro World11 2018’ award
Egypt and Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has been named in international players’ association FIFPro’s 55-name shortlist for its World11 of 2018 award.
Salah, 26, who played the best football season ever played by an Egyptian, and his teammate Sadio Mane of Senegal, are the only two African nominees on the 55-names list.
The final FIFA FIFPro World11 2018 will be announced at The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Monday 24 September.
Salah, who finished as the elite Premier League’s top scorer with 32 goals – a record tally in a 38-game top flight campaign, has been also included in the final list of the Best FIFA Men’s Player Award candidates alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric.
