#1 – Egypt’s coach Javier Aguirre calls up 12 foreign-based players for Swaziland Match

Egypt’s coach Javier Aguirre has called up 12 overseas-based players for the Pharaohs’ game against Swaziland in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, scheduled for 12 October.

The Pharaohs’ squad has had to bear with the absence of injured winger Ramadan Sobhi, who plays for Huddersfield Town in the English Premier League. MoreoverAhly Jeddah attacking midfielder Abdalla El-Said and left-back Mohamed Abdel-Shafi are also out due to injuries. Under the helm of Aguirre, Egypt has returned to its winning ways after smashing Niger 6-0 in the second round of the Group J games in the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers (CAN 2019).

It was Youssef Ibrahim who allowed Zamalek to score the winning goal, which dramatically helped Zamalek’s position on the Egyptian Premier League ladder.

League One is now reporting that the player Didier Ndong has breached his contract and as a result, he’s going to be removed from team Sunderland. The breach of contract stems from negligence as Ndong hasn’t reported to training for the entire Summer. No reason was given by Ndong so Sunderland had no choice but to remove him.

Al Ahly are speculated to be resigning a current player who used to play for them by “Ramadan Sobhi”. The player will play for Al Ahly temporarily in January of 2019. Sobhi is only 21 years old and has struggled with his new team as David Wayner’s team isn’t exactly impressed with his performance. He came from Stroke City back in June of 2018 and hasn’t really adapted since. While resting and recovering from a knee injury, Sobhi has only got six minutes of Premier League Action gameplay this season, so his future looks unclear so far.

Ola Aina is desperately trying to come back to Chelsea, according to his agent, Emeka Obasi. He’s currently playing a season with Torino and next year, he’d like to return to Chelsea.

Nigeria may be signing on SheyiOjo from the Reims but nothing is set in stone 100%. Ojo has expressed his willingness to go to Nigeria if they extend an invitation for him. In his own words: It would be impossible for him to turn down an invitation from the three-time African champions.

According to coach Clarence Seedorf of the Cameroon team, Benjamin Moukandjo is being forced into retirement because some of the coach’s words of choice. Every single goal from Enyimba in this game were scored by a unique player. No one had multiple goals. They scored no goals in the first leg but pulled through with an impressive comeback.

Al Masry of Egypt skated by with a bare minimum win of 1 goal against USM Alger. The game had to be played in Setif but it was an intense game to the bitter end.

Ittihad of Alexandria recently made an announcement that it would be replacing their manager with Helmi Toulan, who was a former Zamalek coach. A lot of people have high confidence in Toulan, as he has numerous experiences coaching, especially with those of the Cairo winners, Zamalek. Toulan is currently 68 years old had a bad last stint, finishing a bad season with the Talae El-Geish Club. The current coach of Ittihad of Alexandria is Mohamed Omar.

 Mohamed Salah has won the FIFA Puskas Award for achieving the best goal of the year to help his team Liverpool beat the Everton at Anfield. With this award, he beat out Ronaldo and Bale in a huge surprise to everyone. There were 10 different candidates on the ballot listed on the FIFA website. The award was given at the London’s Royal Festival Hall where they were conducting the FIFA Football Awards. Twitter had quite the reaction as well with various people expressing excitement and disappointment.
