However, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita were absent at Melwood on Thursday and are unlikely to feature against the Terriers.

Mane underwent surgery on a broken thumb that he picked up while playing for Senegal and Keita was carried off the field for Guinea after encountering a thigh issue.

Huddersfield Town winger Ramadan Sobhi has declared himself ‘okay’ after recovering from a knee injury and hopes to feature against Liverpool in Saturday’s Premier League meeting.

The 21-year-old joined David Wagner’s side on a three-year deal from Stoke City this summer but has been limited to just six minutes of top-flight action this term.

Sobhi’s only appearance came in the Terriers’ 6-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium where he was introduced as an 84th-minute substitute for Steve Mounie.
