Zamalek bounced-back on Thursday from their Arab defeat last week they defeated Masry in a postponed league game at Alexandria’s Borg El-Arab stadium.
On Friday, the 12-time league champions were eliminated from the Zayed Cup round of 16 after losing to Ittihad of Alexandria 3-4 on Penalties.

Marwan Mohsen stole the show with a double salvo as Ahly strolled to a 2-0 win over Talae El-Geish for their third consecutive Egyptian Premier League win on Sunday.
The 29-year-old scored two goals in quick succession in the first half to ease pressure on his shoulders after he was vilified by Ahly�s fans for some uninspiring displays lately.
He could have completed a hat-trick in the second half after he stepped up to take a penalty, but his tame shot was blocked by the keeper.
