Mohamed Salah on target against Newcastle

Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah netted his 22nd goal of the season and was stretchered off with a head injury as Liverpool secured a late 3-2 victory over Newcastle to keep their title bid alive on Saturday.

An 86th-minute header from substitute Divock Origi gave the Reds a precious victory in the penultimate game of the season.

The result leaves Liverpool with a two-point advantage over Manchester City but Pep Guardiola’s team have two games remaining, including Monday’s home match with Leicester City, while Liverpool have just one.
