Egypt will face Gabon, Libya and Angola in Group F of the 2022 WCQ
Egypt have been placed in Group F of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with Gabon, Libya and Angola during the draw held in Cairo on Tuesday
The classification of the 40 teams for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Group Phase Draw has been announced ahead of the ceremony on Tuesday, 21 January 2020 in Cairo, Egypt.
The teams are divided into Four Pots based on the latest FIFA World Rankings (December 2019), with 14 teams from the First Round joining the 26 top ranked teams, who drew a buy at the preliminary round.
Each Pot consists of ten teams and the composition is as follows;
Pot 1: Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco, Ghana, Egypt, Cameroon, Mali, DR Congo
Pot 2: Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, South Africa, Guinea, Uganda, Cape Verde, Gabon, Benin, Zambia, Congo
Pot 3: Madagascar, Mauritania, Libya, Mozambique, Kenya, Central African Republic, Zimbabwe, Niger, Namibia, Guinea Bissau
Pot 4: Malawi, Angola, Togo, Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Liberia, Djibouti
