Pyramids FC In Talks To Sign Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi
Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi came close to wearing Pyramids FC shirt, Moroccan newspaper Le360 revealed.
The Moroccan newspaper claimed that Ayoub Al Kaabi was close to signing for Pyramids team in a free transfer after the player terminated his contract with the Chinese club Fortune.
An official source who spoke to the Moroccan newspaper explained the details of the “huge” Pyramids offer, which brings Ayoub very close to moving to the team, which is getting one million and 700 thousand dollars per season.
The Moroccan club, Wydad, wanted to sign Ayoub Al Kaabi, but “the offer made by Pyramids will make it difficult for Moroccan teams wishing to include the player.”
The 27-year-old Moroccan striker recently terminated his contract with Chinese club Hebei Fortune.
Kaabi played with Raja at the beginning of his career with Moroccan football, before joining the Berkane Renaissance.
While he was with the RS Berkane team, Al Kaabi was close to joining Zamalek, but the Chinese bid stopped everything to join the player in the Chinese League.
And Kaabi returned again to Morocco, but to appear in the Wydad shirt on loan, before returning again to his team, then canceling his contract and becoming free to transfer to any team.
Al Kaabi scored 9 goals and scored two goals in the Chinese shirt, Hebei Fortin.
During his time with Wydad, Al Kaabi scored 9 goals, including 4 in the Champions League.
At the international level, Al Kaabi scored twice during his 9 appearances with the national team.
