Pitso Mosimane has tested positive for COVID-19 | Report

Al Ahly have confirmed that head coach Pitso Mosimane has tested positive for the Covid-19.

The club’s official website said that Mosimane will be isolated and subjected to the protocol of the Ministry of Health to treat coronavirus patients.

Mosimane joined Ahly last October coming from South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, after the departure of the Swiss coach Rene Weiler, leading the team to win the Egyptian Premier League, Egypt Cup, and the African Champions League.

Ahly are scheduled to face Ghazl El-Mahalla on Friday in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League.

The Red Devils have collected their first three points in the new season after beating Masr El-Maqassa 3-1 in the first round on Sunday.

Al Ahly signed the South African head coach Pitso Mosimane, 56, on October 2nd to lead the team, succeeding Swiss Rene Weiler, and the team played 11 matches under his leadership in many competitions, winning 10 of them and tied in a single match with Pyramids FC in the Premier League last season.
