Trezeguet will be out of service for at least nine months
Aston Villa are set to be without winger Trezeguet for a year in a devastating blow.
The Midlands giants announced earlier this month that the Egypt international would undergo surgery after suffering knee ligament damage in the 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.

Trezeguet’s Villa teammate Wesley tore his ACL on New Year’s Day of last year and was sidelined for 16 months before making his comeback as a late substitute in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with West Brom.
