Best for Up and Coming Bands – Norman Music Festival (Norman, OK)
Oklahoma is seriously underrated in the music world. Downtown Oklahoma City boasts being home to the Academy of Contemporary Music, where some of the best of the best have studied music.
Just a short 15-minute drive outside of Oklahoma Cita is Norman, Oklahoma. Norman is a college town, home of college football team OU Sooners. Every year, the Norman music festival takes up entire streets of the town, featuring local bands.
Home to stars like The Flaming Lips, Blake Shelton, Garth Brooks, and The All-American Rejects, there is some serious talent coming out of Oklahoma. The place to find these bands before they hit it big is the Norman Music Festival, without a doubt.
Best for the Insta – Coachella, April 2022 (Indigo, CA)
No list of music festivals would be complete with Coachella. Held out in the California desert, this is the music festival for you if you want to see and be seen.
Not only are there always an incredible line-up of the hottest music acts, but Coachella is also a destination for guests including the likes of Kendall Jenner and Paris Hilton.
The line-up for 2022 is not yet confirmed, but past headliners include Ariana Grande, Radiohead, and Childish Gambino.

Best Outside of the USA – Calgary Stampede, July 2022 (Calgary, Alberta, CA)
The Calgary Stampede is a global phenomenon. Sometimes called the world’s largest rodeo, this is two weeks of nonstop music, carnival food, and cowboy hats.
There are several stages, and the music performances range from country to rap music. Visitors to the Stampede in 2022 have Blake Shelton to look forward to as a headliner.
Past headliners for Calgary Stampede have included the likes of T-Pain, Zac Brown Band, and Death Cab for Cutie.
Best for a Long Haul – Summerfest, June 2022 (Milwaukee, WI)
For three consecutive weekends of every summer, Milwaukee is the place to be. Summerfest is always one of the biggest music festivals of the year, and 2022 is not going to be any different! In Summer 2022, Justin Bieber is confirmed to be headlining!
In the past, Summerfest has had plenty of big names to headline the multiple weekends of fun. The line-up for 2021 alone included all of Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Chance the Rapper, Luke Bryan, Guns N Roses, Miley Cyrus, and plenty more!
Best for Electronic Music – Electric Daisy Carnival, May 2022 (Las Vegas, NV)
If you are looking for a truly wild experience, then the Electric Daisy Carnival is an absolute must for Summer 2022.
Featuring all of the hottest DJ and techno artists, this festival is all about dancing under blacklights in the stretchiest of neon spandex. The line-up for 2022 hasn’t been announced yet, but with past acts like Tiesto and Calvin Harris, there’s no worry of having a bad time.
