Ahly, who came in fourth place at the FIFA Club World Cup 2022 earlier this month, are scheduled to play against Al-Hilal, a Sudanese team, in the away match of the group stage in the CAF Champions League.

Due to CAF sanctions against the Sudanese team, the match will be played behind closed doors in Omdurman.

Al-Hilal suffered their first defeat in the group stage against Mamelodi Sundowns last week.

Ahly’s initial match against Coton Sport from Cameroon was delayed because of their involvement in the Club World Cup.

Al-Hilal are leading the domestic league table with 44 points.

Al Ahly are also leading the domestic league table with 37 points with three games in hand.
