Ahmed Hassan joins national team technical staff.
Under the helm of the newly-appointed coach Shawki Gharib, the new technical staff will be announced soon, ahead of preparations for the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ahmed Hassan is the world’s most capped player, with 184 international appearances
Egypt’s current striker Amr Zaki praised coach Gharib’s intelligent choice.
“Naming Ahmed Hassan national team manager is a positive step for the new technical staff,” Zaki wrote on his Twitter account, concluding that “Hassan will play an important role in the future of Egypt’s national team.”
